We recently celebrated a huge feat--reading 100 books together! To mark the occasion, we had a book party! Our kiddos brought in their favorite books from home, and we had a special book-themed show and tell. I always love seeing the sorts of books they like to read at home! We had some nonfiction books about horses and trains, a precious little gymnast brought in a book about gymnastics, and some friends brought in easier books that they're able to read by themselves! It's always a great mix of books.
This book was fun and interactive--the dog barked or whined at certain times in the story!
Disney characters are always a big hit!
It's hard to contain this guy's excitement!
A gymnastics book written by an Olympic gold medalist!
This boy sure loves his airplanes!
This is his favorite book from our classroom library.
We also had friends from 5th grade come visit and read our books to us.
And we had special treats--book cookies! What a yummy and fun day we had!
